Team BS

Beach Volleyball today is one of the most dynamic sports in Australia. It is not only a sport that symbolises the Australian way of life – beach culture; it is also one of the most easily accessible sports in the world. Team BS is made up of Damien Schumann, Owen Boland and Haydn Ellis (coach), and after only one season are ranked number 1 in Australia!

Damien is a well decorated young athlete with 8 years experience. He has come up through the ranks as Junior Australian Champion, Under 23 Australian Champion and one of Australia’s best defenders.

Owen also has 8 years experience throughout Australia and Internationally where he has gained many blocking titles, as well as being crowned Victoria’s King of the Beach 2 years in a row.

In this new combination Team BS have risen to be ranked number 1 in Australia. They recently had a 4th at the Asian Championships and a top 5 finish on the Germany National Tour and they have been ranked as high as 82 on the FIVB World Tour and are looking to move up the ranks.
